Hey folks!

I thought, it's time to update my journal (my last journal was last october :-S). So, what's up? At the moment I got a lot of work - it's difficult to cope with this mass of projects. But on the other hand, I know that I got to do this, because I just bought myself a new handy (contract) and joined a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu club.

Finally.... Today I passed the driving test (theory) and there are only an exam in network technology tomorrow and an english test on thursday. So from tomorrow, at long last,I'll work on the next web designs.

As some of you may have recognized, I just created a web layout for heise.de:

... and nearly at the same time, heise.de released a new version of their portal. Here is a short review about the new design in comparison to the old one:

The old version of the heise online web page wasn't up to date, so their developers team updated its layout/design. Here you have a quick overview on the changes that were made in the layout:


At first, you might recognize the 2-column layout they used, instead of the old 3-columns one. This gives more place for content and makes the access to it easy.
Important are some of the "marked as new"-modules, such as "static menu items", that make it easy to access themost used spots of the page from every section quickly. There's also a section "latest articles" that gives you the latest informations, written on heise.de.
In addittional, as you can see, the footer link-module inside the footer has also been my idea of navigating through important spots of the page.
